Her birth date was March 29 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her given name. Gerina Stevenson has Mexican parentage Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). Stevenson is Mexican and American. Her desire to play sports started as a young toddler. Gerina took up golf for the first time at the age of 15. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. While she was in high school, she took home the New Mexico state golf tournament. In addition to the sport of volleyball, she played on an official level. Her first college was in the University of Texas. As a senior, she won every single tournament that she participated. While in her undergrad year, she received as the conference's best player of year, as well as UTEP's Female Athletic of the Year.
