Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She plays for Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings drafted her with the fifth selection of this year's WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years old) and Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her older brothers. Since she was the smallest of her siblings she was the one who was most spoilt of her parents. Gregory's father served in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from an active lineage of family members. Her brother Dare is a football player and her mom Yolanda used to play softball at DePaul. Her cousin Endia Olive is also a volleyball player on the field at Tennessee State. She also lists 739 rebound. Ogunbowale competed in 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 FIBA World U17 Championships 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships where she won Gold Medals. In July 2014 she was picked to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first season as a collegiate player.
